A Study On Cultural Activities Of Jian Xian’ai Editing The Literary Supplement Of Guizhou Daily Xin Lei

The supplement of Guizhou Daily, Xin Lei lasted three years and t wo months with a total of 203 issures from March 6 of 1945 to May 31 of 1948. Under the joint effort and interaction of editors, writers and readers, it gradually plays its role in Guizhou and even southwest of China and broadcasts culture, satisfies the needs, offers a platform for writing and help some poor writers.Chief editor, Jian Xian’ai makes Xin Lei a magazine with rich style, rigorous edit, opening view and diversified topics by sticking to reality and focusing on literature and art. From the literary style, it includes novels, essays, poems, literary review, drama etc. From editing, it is serious and solemn both in the design of layout and the content of it. From the pattern, it not only absorbs foreign culture, but also supports new writers of that time. From the theme, it can be divided into works about anti-Japanese war, critic of the country, mourning relatives and friends and literary communication.In order to enrich the content of Xin Lei, Jian Xian’ai create works positively, while editing. He published 20 essays, 9 novels and 13 literary review in Xin Lei. He expresses mourners’ missing to their friends through describing their friends’ culture life and the details when they are getting together with each other in the essays.
