Exploring Public Goods Packaging Design From The Idea Of Extending Life Cycle Of Packaging

Since 1980 s, the impacts of packaging waste on the environment has been tremendous with the rapid development of packaging industry, which lead to a waste of resource, environmental pollution, damages in ecosystem, illegal competence within the industry and increasing stress on customers. This means that demand of research and design on extending the life cycle of packaging are urgent. The development of public welfare undertaking has been the central, considering the situation of China. This not only includes foundation practice but also the idea from academia, who both reveal the real situation of poor public administration construction in most rural areas in China, including production, infrastructures, culture education and etc. The topic aims to analyze the reason why public good packaging is successful and the relationships between extending packaging life cycle and this reason, by exploring theories and cases of internal and external modes of packaging life cycle, grounding on the perspective of public administrations and combining with designing practice of public good packaging. The designing practice bases on these public good packaging, combined with creative design, emotional design and sustainable methods, in order to make new attempts and contributions to the ecosystem and public administrations, focusing on the same type of products.
