A Brief Analysis On The Role Of Human Illustration In The Creation Of Oil Painting

There are hardly any painters who are engaged in oil painting creation have not painted human illustrations. For them, body art is the inexhaustible inspiration source. Physical beauty is a part of natural beauty; therefore, human illustration has been the necessary path for the character creators to train their professional ability. It could be said that human illustration has positive significance in the creation of oil painting. Combined with the feeling on life and recognition on oil painting, I draw lessons from the creation experience of some character painters and create the oil painting, Human Series as the graduation creation work. Also, I summarize the conception, painting process and creation thought in the practice of graduation creation. This paper could be divided into six parts. In the first chapter, it elaborates the concept of sketch. In the second chapter, it analyzes the relationship between human illustration and character creation. In the third chapter, it emphasizes the significance of human illustration for mining the creation language of oil painting. In the fourth chapter, it explores the application of creation factor of oil painting in body art performance. In the fifth chapter, it explains the significance of human illustration to oil painting creation. In the last chapter, it talks about the feeling and understanding on some creation with the combination of my painting.
