| From the beginning to now, ideal photography of China develops only 20 years. As a pioneer art, ideal photography broke the traditional barriers and entered the art area by virtue of its new ideas and concepts. Therefore, photographers see the enormous vitality of photography. Photography no longer merely paid attention to the replacement of equipment and the bigger size of CCD. It recognized that photography is a means of artistic expression and language,thus it has a wider imaginary and creative space. This article is the author’s understanding of ideal photography, as well as the use of light and shadow elements in the ideal photography.
