Interpreting Practice Report On The Opening Ceremony Of TRCC

With the development of science and technology, robot technology is progressively moving to maturity and widely used in industrial production. The robot technology plays a significant role in improving production efficiency and promoting the automation processes of modern industry. In order to better promote the development of robot technology and cultivate creative scientific talents in the field of robots, robot competitions have emerged nationwide. The author had the privilege to participate in consecutive interpreting related to the opening ceremony of the 4th national robot creative design competition.During the interpreting practice of the opening ceremony, the author faced many problems and challenges,while dealing the problems and the emergency situation that appeared in interpreting practice process, the author had great insight into the advanced robotics industry through this practice of opening ceremony.The report focuses on the interpreting practice of the opening ceremony and the author analyzes and summarizes the problems that appeared in the interpreting practice. The correspondent solving methods are put forward according to the concrete interpreting examples.This report is mainly divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, the author introduces the entrusting party related to this interpreting practice of the opening ceremony and illustrates the detailed work about this interpreting practice of the opening ceremony.Meanwhile, the author indicates the the requirement of the interpreting practice. In the second chapter, the author describes the whole process of the interpreting practice and illustrates the process of interpreting practice from three aspects: preparation and analysis before interpreting,on-going interpreting and assessments after interpreting. The author suggests that preparation and analysis before interpreting is crucial to the practice, so the author illustrates it from the following aspects: the preparation of glossary, the preparation of translation theory and selection of parallel text. In the third chapter, “interpreting case analysis” is the main content of report. First of all,the author summarized the interpreting practice and proposes several remarkable characteristics about ceremony interpreting of opening ceremony. Then,the author analyzes the difficulties of the interpreting practice, including the processing of long and difficult sentences, rapid speech and large amounts of information, the translation of slogans and the references of poetry. At last the author put forward corresponding strategies according to the difficulties of the interpreting practice. In the fourth chapter, the author summarizes the practice and illustrates the gains and experience. The author deeply realizes that if you want to be a qualified interpreter,you should strengthen to study translation knowledge and promote the integration capability through practice. Lastly, the author points out some inspirations and expectations for the study and work in future.
