With the rapid development of economy and culture in modern society, the piano art has been paid more and more attention, and the piano education has been in an unprecedented state. In this focus on efficiency, pay attention to the practical social environment, the piano education also appeared in the "practical", "effective" for the purpose of "pragmatism" phenomenon. The creation of this paper is the phenomenon of "pragmatism" in piano education in contemporary China as the breakthrough point, to the contemporary Chinese piano education status quo thinking and exploration results found problems, finally puts forward the suggestions to solve. The first chapter is the introduction, in addition to clarify the origin of this study, research ideas, research methods and other issues, the concept and characteristics of "pragmatism" also made a more detailed exposition. Mainly refers to an educational phenomenon in "practical" as the fundamental purpose of piano education; the second chapter is China piano education development present in the "pragmatism" phenomenon, has been the development of piano education in China three hundred years of history, "practical" is ancient, historical analysis is an important prerequisite on the current situation of thinking; the third chapter from the perspective of piano education in the "pragmatic" phenomenon is analyzed, mainly from different angles, teachers and students and piano training institutions are elaborated; the fourth chapter through the analysis of the third chapter summarizing the phenomenon and the phenomenon of "pragmatism" has a positive and negative consequences the piano education, and analyze the results of pragmatism in the piano in the field of education and the existing problems; the fifth chapter presents the author of the Chinese Piano Education "Pragmatism" measures, review the fundamental purpose of piano education, distinguish between the benefit and the significance, finally through the influence to solve "pragmatism" for piano education bring confusion. Finally come to the conclusion that in the current rapid development of piano art career, "pragmatism" piano education phenomenon is inevitable, we need responded with objective and confident attitude to face, identify the "pragmatism" of the equilibrium point in promoting prosperity of the piano education at the same time, grasp the fundamental purpose of piano education, forget the beginning of the heart.
