Shen Congwen’s novel creation in the 1940 s is an important content of Shen Congwen’s literature world. And it is an integral part to overall grasp of the whole creation course to the researchers. The main content of the Shen Congwen’s novel creation in the 1940 s is made up of the following aspects: The first part is the novels that built around of the Anti-Japanese War; the second is the love narrative of the intellectuals; the third is performance again of the world of Xiang xi.With the outbreak of Anti-Japanese War, as a writer who has a strong sense of responsibility and National consciousness, Shen Congwen has changed the orientation, which is previous to the era mainstream practice.
