The Study Of Shen Congwen's Literary Writing From 1956 To 1976

Shen Congwen's literary writing from 1956 to 1976 is an absolutely necessary part of his whole literary writing,which is the mature period and the peak period of his later literary writing and also can reflect and represent the overall situation of his later literary writing.During these 20 years,Shen Congwen never gave up on literary thinking and writing experiments,but the academic circle pays relatively little attention to this topic,and the research status is scattered,superficial and unsystematic.Therefore,this study is based on the texts and literary historical materials of Shen Congwen's works at this stage,gives a more in-depth and comprehensive presentation of his literary writing from 1956 to 1976.This paper focuses on the study and analysis of all shen congwen's literary writing achievements from 1956 to 1976 supplemented by various written materials to outline the rich and special literary road and writing landscape in detail.About the structure and framework of this paper,in addition to the introduction and the conclusion,there are three chapters:"Writing Choice and Standpoint","Writing Modalities and Features","Writing Values and Dilemmas".The changes of time deeply influenced Shen Congwen's later literary thoughts.Through the analysis of the later literary writing achievements and related materials,it's more clear and comprehensive to present the development of literary thoughts and the choice of writing direction during this period.Meanwhile,it's also more adequate and systematic to investigate the integral content and appearance,and deeply and meticulously explore the values and meanings of his later literary writing.This study summarizes and discusses the modalities and features of Shen Congwen's literary writing in this period,which has some innovation in order to break the limitation of the current research status that "description" is greater than "discussion",and make Shen Congwen's literary world more complete.This study focuses on intensive reading of Shen Congwen's all literary achievements from 1956 to 1976 and discussion about two life experiences "The Second Career Change" and 'The Preparation of The Third Career Change" in his later period.This study also explores the important concept "Abstract Lyric" and analyzes his later attitudes and views on the relationship between literature and politics,as well as two core writing ideas "Life" and "History".At the same time,there is a discussion about his writing choice of "Fighting Alone" and the basic position of independence and freedom From 1956 to 1976,Shen Congwen adhered to the writing principle of May Fourth New Literature and learned from the reality again to adjust the writing state in time.The literary writing of this period clearly embodies the characteristics of stylistic writing,which is mainly composed of novel,prose and old-style poetry,and presents four periods of upsurge.Shen Congweh continued paying attention to individual life and social history of early stage,focusing on writing the old historical memory and the new life forms,and emphasizing the educational role of literature in the young generation.He constantly carried out stylistic experiments to substitute other stylistic forms for the creation of novel,prose and other restricted literary styles,presenting three compensatory effects of epistolary prose,old-style new poetry and historical essays,and making breakthroughs in language expression,narrative structure and background atmosphere.Shen Congwen's literary writing in this period presented lyrical and latent nature on the whole,which verified his adherence to personal belief and embodied his independent grasp of the writer's life.In addition,compared with the representative literary works of the same period,it can be found that Shen Congwen's literary works in this period not only continued the tradition of May Fourth New Literature,firmly maintained the freedom and independence of literature,highlighted the rational and speculative colors,conveyed personal experience,and showed the lively artistic aesthetic characters.But at the same time,it also exposes the dilemmas of literary creation,the excessive lyric writing language leads to the weakening of the internal tension of the works,and the ideological contradictions about the times cause the conflicts between the new and the old.The diversity of literary values and the limitations of stylistic writing,?the uniqueness and complexity of Shen Congwen's later literary writing,and his literary writing is a special case of modern writers in the choice of contemporary creation.In a word,Shen Congwen never gave up literary creation in his later period.He explored literary writing with a simple and practical "learning" attitude,presenting a different and diversified literary landscape other than mainstream writing in the special historical period.
