Nietzsche’s philosophy was distinctly different from most of the modern philosophy thoughts. He forsook tradition, showed spirit of freedom, and turned a new page in the history of modern European philosophy. The ‘Antichrist’ carried the most differences. This thought showed his defiance against two thousand years’ domination of Christianity. He also gave some new concepts like Ubermensch, Volonté de puissance and Umwertung aller Werte to support his criticism against Christianity. This paper contains four parts. The first part is the background and research significance of Nietzsche’s ‘Antichrist’ theory. The second part showed the birth and growth of Nietzsche himself and “Antichrist”. Nietzsche was influenced by the enlightenment and philosophy thoughts. His theory was full of rebellion and whole new thoughts. The third part tells main points of ‘Antichrist’. Nihilism, which was hidden in Christian morality, was Nietzsche’s real enemy. Nietzsche denied everything related to Christian morality. The last part shows judgments on ‘Antichrist’. Nietzsche’s works were full of emotions and poetries. Therefore people also treated his works as literature. But his thoughts still had limitation.Because of Nietzsche’s wide-ranging achievement, our study of his philosophy may covers religion, literature, politics, art and some other fields. We can study his thoughts by tracing history of Christianity and ‘Antichrist’, and comparing Christianity and ‘Antichrist’. Because of Nietzsche’s living environment and the way he thought, his philosophy carried ambiguity and limitation. In a way, these problems helped shatter his dream and perplexed his philosophy. So that people felt harder to understand his thoughts.
