Research On The Spread Of Shaanxi Local Opera Among Local Universities In The New Century

Opera is considered to be the dominant form of civilization, which has a great value in the contemporary world. Opera, as a complex multi traditional artistic categories, is always in the pursuit of the human nature of the truth, the kindness and the beauty and national affection of loyalty and faith from all kinds of aspects such as performing skills, art forms, aesthetic taste and the relationship between audience and performers, especially value orientation, ideological content and the word speech. Thus, Opera profoundly affects the enhancement of people quality and perfection of national character. As a flower in the opera garden, the local opera, with its colorful and dazzling regional uniqueness, not only enriches the people’s spiritual life, but also affects and creates the common people’s values and moral orientation. At the same time, it highlights the local culture and folk culture and plays an important part in Chinese opera culture.However, in the new century with the diversity as its notable feature of social culture, especially the popular culture, people have a multi-angle and multi-channel choice in the cultural consumption and entertainment style. Current audience,with young people as the core, is dominated by culture and entertainment of the fast-food style, and opera is believed to be slow and aging in the form of culture. Consequently, the inheritance and consumption of the opera, especially the local opera, is confronted with more and more severe challenges. What’s more, its own regional limitation and minority audience widens its distance between young people further and further away. This is a very biggest barrier not only to local opera spread and development, but also to the safety of national culture.Shaanxi,the big cultural and education province, holds the champion with its longest local opera history and diversity in the National Opera garden. And it is also a place with a lot of colleges and intellectuals gathering there. To realize the integration and promotion of local educational resources and cultural resources, besides the national policy support and dedication to opera troupes, we need to make the best use of the intellectual cultivation of universities and the heights of cultural heritage to expand the scope of opera audience and improve the audience level so as to, on the one hand, make both the local university students and teaching staff indulge in the profound drama civilization; on the other hand, extract the local culture factor and look for the suitable ways and various media forms to spread the local opera in order to meet the aesthetic needs of local groups and college students. In this way, we can cultivate and educate students through opera culture and, in turn,spread the local opera culture and pass down our local opera inheritage in students education.Based on the perspective of communication science, this paper makes a detailed study on the communication of local opera in Shaanxi from the aspects of the subject, object, content, channel and effect, through questionair, field interview and internet test.. The results and statistical data analysis shows that: among young people, the main body of students, their opera culture knowledge and interest are our biggest conern; the spreading of Shaanxi local opera in the local universities is seriousely poor; there is a large gap between the opera culture development and the intellectual cultivation in higher education.In the social transformation period, local opera has to face the unprecedented and severe crisis, but the collaborative innovation may give local opera a new life. That is to say, we need to build a comprehensive platform, establish a linkage mechanism and use the multimedia communication to promote the development of local opera in Shaanxi. A strong joint of Shaanxi colleges and universities resources and opera troupes resources has already taken a solid first step: the establishment of Drama Academy of Xi’an Jiaotong University is based on the association of Xi’an Jiaotong University and Shaanxi Opera Study Institute; Yisushe Opera Research Institute of Northwest University is the result of the joint of Northwest University and centennial theatre Xi’an Yisushe. Along with the deepening of the cultural system, the reform of education system and improvement of the collaborative innovation mechanism, the local government should continue to increase policy encouragement; universities should play an active role in talent cultivation and the mission of cultural heritance; local opera troupes and opera performing artists should actively enter into the campus; traditional media and new media should cooperate. And thus, we jointly build the Shaanxi Local Opera Development Platform and System, with the participation of local government, colleges and universities, opera troupes and the community so as to strengthen the Shaanxi local opera audience literacy education, improve the Shaanxi local opera talent training mechanism and form a positive sharing mechanism of interaction of information resources, and ultimately, to achieve the goal of spreading Shaanxi local opera in local colleges through social.
