As the world is more and more involved in globalization, English has become an international language which is the most widely used worldwide. It has played a vital role as a bridge in cross-cultural communication. Meanwhile, the English language is diversifying into different English varieties as a result of its sweeping spread. Globalization has led the English language to localization. English varieties bear imprint of different cultures, while making English more diversified, and at the same time, making the “absolutely standard” English more relatively correct.China English is an English variety used by the native-Chinese people for communication under the specific language environment. It originates from adapting English to Chinese social culture, thinking mode, and language structure. Chinglish is quite different from China English which is a deformed English phenomenon misused by Chinese people. It is in violation of the fundamental rules of English grammar, the semantic meaning and pragmatic application. The causes of China English is analyzed from four aspects: English variety, Linguistic adaptation, cultural communication, and Chinese thinking mode. The study makes the theoretical interpretation of China English under the framework of the theories of interlanguage, language transfer and second language acquisition. The realistic significance of China English is presented through the fact that China English is a powerful complement to and enrichment of world Englishes.From linguistic and culture perspective, the thesis describes and analyzes the causes and linguistic(phonological, lexical, syntactic and discourse) features of China English through contrastive analysis and error analysis, contrast with Chinglish,aiming at paving the way to give weight to China English and to phase out Chinglish.As a matter of fact, the transformation from Chinglish to China English could attain,and benefits the spread of Chinese culture in a more precise way. Hope that the thesis can help English learners to know more about China English and Chinglish, provideenlightenment on language teaching, and most importantly, exert positive influence on Eastern-Western communication.
