The research object of this paper is a general term for a synonym. In teaching Chinese as a foreign language, synonyms will no longer adhere to Chinese linguistics to synonym definition, but from the teaching practice of the foreign students learning words whose meaning is similar to confuse the meaning of words known as synonyms. Many people neglect the most important basis for the analysis of synonyms is the sense of language.The purpose of learning a language is to cultivate the learner’s ability to use the language. In this paper, the theory of lexical chunks is introduced, and the advantage of lexical chunks in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is to be made. The first step in the application of Lexical Chunk Theory to the teaching of synonyms is the lexical chunks of synonyms. The synonym can be seen as a piece of the plate structure which is used as a fixed structure for the whole storage, memory and expression of the collocation. We call the plate structure of the collocation, which is synonymous with the term ". The simplification of the lexical chunks and the teaching of synonyms is helpful to the students to overcome the language of the language and to enrich the students’ language.The lexical chunk teaching can make up the deficiency of the teaching of synonyms. In the traditional teaching of synonyms, the teacher is the teacher, the students to understand, and then the memory and practice. The disadvantage of this teaching lies in that it is difficult for the teachers to grasp the scale of differentiation. The introduction of Chunk Theory, is to be synonymous with lexical chunks, the need to differentiate between a single word to form a collocation and become synonymous with the word block. In the teaching of synonyms, we first let the students remember the synonyms, form the language sense, then explain the synonyms, and then combine the semantic and context to understand the synonyms.In the teaching of synonyms, we should pay attention to the cultivation of the sense of synonymous lexical chunks.
