Arikha ’s Art Works Influence On My Painting

In the twentieth century,western various schools emerged in endless stream.Many painters disregard the essence of painting and devoted to new and different stuff all the time.In addition to this, there were still many artists insisted on realistic approach and realistic writing style. The artist Avigdor Arikha still persisted in realistic paintings.Although his works from the strict sense does not belong to any genre of Western art, but he has his own unique style of painting language.In this paper, a combination of Arikha upbringing, style, form of language analysis and my painting process and experience were described.Through the study and analysis of theoretical works on the Arikha ’s works, reveals the reason for his move from abstract painting figurative painting’s changing course, the language of painting and the creation of my own language styles.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part of the paper combine the artist’s own life and his background which analyzes the characteristics and art style change in three periods of his artistic career reasons. The second part of this paper analyze the form of the Arikha’s art from the material selection,composition and color parts. The third part expounds the realistic significance of the paintings from two aspects of sketch method and the selected topic.The last part of the paper describe finding the abstract painting language factors which influenced on my painting.
