On January 22,2015, Microsoft launched the second promotion for its new generation operating system-Windows 10. The rise of such occasions contributes to the need for interpretation so as to make the companies to go beyond the boarder of its local market. This phenomenon makes the study necessary and worthy. This report is the result of study and analysis of the two simulation interpretation of the excerpt of the speech. While interpreting, two difficulties are usually encountered, which are high speed and redundancy respectively. This speech was given in a very high speed with the average at 185 words per minute and the peak at 255 words per minute. Owing to the high speed, it is also filled with redundancy of various categories throughout. Either the speed or the redundancy poses serious difficulties for the interpreter.Skopos theory believes that interpreters should take account of the translation (interpreting) objective and the expectations of the target audience, apply a number of proper strategies during interpretation for better output in line with the need of audience so as to achieve the purpose of speech communication. Based on the analysis of the transcript of the speech and guided by the Skopos theory, this paper proposed a new classification of high-speed redundancy in the context of simultaneous interpretation:objective interpretation and subjective interpretation and several methods to deal with the high speed and these two kinds of redundancy including extraction, reorganization, omission, combination and simplification. These findings are expected to be helpful for simultaneous interpretation.
