With the growing trend of the aging population, geriatric psychology problem has gradually attracted the attention of researchers. Cognitive aging is a most active branch in the research area of contemporary geriatric psychology. Many foreign research reports and many studies have developed quickly. However, the study has not formed a valuable system in China. Thus, it is worthwhile for us to learn the approaches, comments and suggestions from the related medical reports abroad.The medical report involved in this paper was released by US Institute of Medicine on April 14,2015, but there is no Chinese translation by now. Bedsides, the content of studies is novel and unique, which is worthwhile for the domestic scholars and researchers to learn. The medical report is called cognitive aging, mainly introduces the characteristics, causes and appropriate preventive measures of cognitive aging.This report is mainly divided into four chapters, Chapter One introduces the background of the project, characteristics of language and structure, and research value and significance; Chapter Two is the summary of the translation preparation, translation plan and the process of modification; Chapter Three is the core part, which puts forward translation problems encountered in the process and solutions exploration. The author analyses the strategies and approaches from four aspects, that is the equivalent translation of the subtitle, meaning of the polysemous word, translation of the group name in the experimental text and literature reviews; The last chapter is a summary, including inspiration, experience, unresolved issues.
