Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin,which was created by John·Sebastian·Bach (1685-1750)was known as the" bible "in the violin music world.Chaconne in D minor,which was the ending movement of the fourth works,was the most representative works.It became treasures in the violin works because of its profound philosophy and brilliant skills, thus it got many composers’preferences and adapted into a variety of instrumental versions.Among these versions,Chaconne which was adapted by Busoni, was acknowledged as the most successful adaptation.Ferruccio·Benvenuto·Busoni (1866-1924), a famous Italian pianist and composer, was born in the romantic period. He was a representative figure of the Neoclassicism. He put forward modern combined with classical composing concept,which had a strong consciousness in advance. Busoni was deeply influenced by Bach’s music since his childhood,so he admired Bach’s music and aroused his interest to adapt Bach’s violin original version. On the basic original framework of Bach’s music, Busoni added romantic music. It was a heated collision with the Romanticism and Baroque style and presented as independently successful adaptation to us all.It covered many difficult skills and combined superb skills and music philosophy. It possessed a huge value of research and important enlightenment to study Busoin’s violin adaptation as well as explore multiple music collection style to futurity.My study serves two purposes:first, I want to dig out the characteristics of this music and master the meaning and style for further discussion so that we can conclude the artistic value. Second. Through analyzing multiple musician versions and self-studying practice, I want to analyse from different views and put forward suggestions for mastering creation style. I hope I can provide more evidence for pianists who want to learn Chaconne more, and contribute to piano playing and studying in the future.This paper begins with works reality,then I introduce features of Chaconne.After that, through learning creation background and a variety of adaptation of Chaconne in D minor, I expound creation of Busoni’s piano adaption and conclude the influence of background to adaptation creation. When all these analyses are finished, I use analysis method, comparative method and illustration method to research Busoni’s piano adaption,Chaconne, in detail. what’s more, through comparison bewteen Bach’s original version and Busoni’s piano adaption, I would like to dig out playing style of this works so that we can discuss the meaning and playing style in detail and put forward suggestions to transform violin works to piano. In the end, we can discuss and research Busoni’s piano adaption,Chaconne, systematically and completely so that we can discover special charm of Busoni’s piano adaption,Chaconne.This works is combined with superb skill and profound connotation. While inheriting Baroque music style, it also demonstrates the era characteristics of the Romantic period. It possesses a strong value of playing and researching and it’s a daunting challenge to players.I hope I can provide a reference to those who love this works and professional researchers of Busoni’s piano adaption.
