Chinese idiom teaching is an indispensable part of vocabulary teaching in foreign language. From a certain degree,the degree of mastery of Chinese idioms can directly reflect the level of Chinese language. But Chinese idioms and fixed structure, connotation is rich,diverse forms,a huge number,contains rich historical and cultural connotation and its meaning often is not limited to the surface,students is difficult according to the literal meaning directly guessing the meaning of idioms to measure, even though I know meaning but also know the use of specific context. Although foreign students often spend a lot of time to memorize idioms means and usage in a sentence,but in the examination and usually test is not difficult to find that students will still be using the wrong many idioms,errors,unchecked,quit,avoid instead. Therefore, the idiom teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language has been recognized as the focus and difficulty.In view of the analysis of the current situation of the teaching of idioms,this paper first studies the ontology of idioms,including three aspects of the definition, classification and characteristics of idioms. On the basis of the above,this text carries on the statistics to the idiom and some representative foreign language teaching materials in the foreign language vocabulary outline,and carries on the summary and the analysis to it. Finally,the questionnaire is used to investigate and analyze the errors of Chinese Idiom Acquisition of foreign students,and to put forward some teaching strategies for the Chinese idioms.
