The Chinese Foreign Teaching is mainly made up of two parts::they are language teaching and culture teaching.However,the culture teaching has been paid much less concentration than language in actual teaching activities.As a result,the main target of our course activities design is how to perfectly combine language teaching and culture teaching,how to make inside and outside class teaching play an important role and how to let students “learning with knowledge " and " apply what they got”.Folk songs had been widely circulated as an important part of the language concise for the sake of its concise language,content easy to understand and common life style in the splendid rich history of our country.This paper mainly focused on the analysis of the teaching resources and folk songs not only in order to explore programs in line with the activities of foreign language teaching,but enable students abroad to learn culture,experience activities and cultivate their communication skills in a relaxed,pleasant atmosphere as well.This paper is divided into four parts.Firstly,I have reviewed the study situation of Chinese folk songs and foreign cultural teaching design and found some deficiencies which existed.As a result,I made an analysis of the goals and value of my research.In the second part,I made a brief overview of the origin,development and classification of folk songs and also carefully analyzes the artistic features of folk songs and the role of education in society.In the third part,I would totally introduce the significance of folk song to the teaching of language and culture,which included the teaching theoretical support,teaching audience,curriculum resource analysis and instructional design principles.Besides these,it also included the promoting function of folk song to foreign Chinese language teaching,such as the function of vocabulary teaching promoting,the function of grammar teaching promoting and the function of culture teaching promoting.In the fourth part,we have tried to design a case of four kinds of teaching activities outside the class:Folk Songs Teaching Case,Manchu songs experience activities Case,“Naadam” Ballad cultural experience program and Folk Songs party design.Then we designed around several aspects of the activity name,objectives,vision,process and conclusion in order to make the activities more scientific,practical and full of entertainment.So the folk song would be more featured. Lastly,I have got a review and conclusion to this paper.I sincerely hope that I could bring some inspiration and benefits to foreign language instructors in their design of activity teaching plan through my study of this paper.
