Combining the research of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,we found that the teaching method and corpus materials are single in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.We found that selecting modern folk songs which are appropriate and popular is also a reasonable and efficient method.Modern folk song is one of the most active forms of language literature,which is easy to understand and life oriented.Sung by the form of song is not only consistented with the teaching theory,but also can stimulate interest in learning.We explore the use of modern folk song in teaching Chinese as a foreign language on this basis,it will be able to tap the great potential of modern folk songs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.At the same time,it can cultivate students' perception and recognition of Chinese culture imperceptibly.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to improve the quality of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper combines the theoretical basis of second language acquisition theory and audio-visual teaching method,researches on the characteristics of contemporary ballad,taking The childhood and The blue lotus two modern folk songs as the teaching material to make teaching design.We use listening course type and comprehensive course type.We hope to sum up the focus and method in selecting modern folk songs,from special to general,dig out the teaching mode in the general sense.The aim is to fully affirm the relationship between the two and the positive role of modern folk songs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Summarize the principles of selecting modern folk songs as the teaching material,the principle of appropriate difficulty,the principle of close to life,the principle of positive.Design questionnaire,analyze the feedback of the students on the teaching material,obtain the teaching enlightenment finally.
