The Study Of The Lotus Sutra Jiangjingwen Of Dunhuang Documents

This dissertation considers that the creative time of The Lotus Sutra Jiangjingwen of Dunhuang documents of P.2305 probably earlist to Dali era of Emperor Daizong of Tang. It was same as the conclusion of the era of the manuscript. It is certainly that the creative time of obverse of P.2133 ’s Dunhuang documents of Diamond Sutra jiangjingwen is earlist in A.D. 822. The era of the manuscript is during the 24 th January to 22 th February of A.D.920, which is showed in the end of the documents. It seems most likely that the earlist creative time of Φ365’s Dunhuang documents of the Lotus Sutra Jiangjingwen was in the A.D.754 and the era of the manuscript was very likely indited around in A.D.920. The era of the manuscript Φ365V is earlist in A.D.920. This dissertation considers that S.4474’s Dunhuang document Yazuowen and P.2044 Yazuowen( yi) probably is Yazuowen of the Lotus Sutra Jiangjingwen. Bei6204 which is called Fa Hua Jing Jie was very likely indited a Yazuowen of the Lotus Sutra Jiangjingwen and it was also probably came from Vimalakirti Sutra Yazuowen and Sanshen Yazuowen which in the S.2440. The frist of Jezuowen of Je Zuo Wenliangshou in P.3128 is Jezuowen of the Lotus Sutra Jiangjingwen. This article summarized the main structure of 4 pieces of the Lotus Sutra Jiangjingwen as :Yazuo→Kaiti→Jingwen→“ci Changjingwen”→(prose)→”...Changjianglai”(verse)→Jingwen, same like this,in cycle structure. This dissertation considers that most of Jiangjingwen of Dunhuang documents are in line with this structure. This article infer that the activities of buddhist recitation and singing in that time of Dunhuang area were telling and singing for the whole contents of scripture. At lest, the Dunhuang documents of the Lotus Sutra Jiangjingwen were very likely indited be told and sung the whole contents. In the Jiangjingwen and Yazuowen it was showing signs that the masters interacted with audiences during the activities of telling and singing. Becuase of great influence of Pumenpin, this paper studied the image of Avalokitesvara from the the Buddhist Scriptures and considered that, the previous life of Avalokitesvara mainly included already became Buddha、 The Brahma、Bodhisattva、prince、normal people, and so on. Because the deep Buddhist karma with the Saha Land, Lived in Buddha Shakyamuni dharma epoch, Avalokitesvara is mainly to help educate retinues boundless sentient beings of the Saha Land, especially in China.
