| With the drastic development and progress and of the society,an increasing number of new words and expressions have sprung up.Among them“luo(裸)+X”words like luo ben(裸奔)”,“luo hun(裸婚)”,“luo kao(裸考)”and“luo ti(裸替)”has won wide attention from linguists and scholars.Scholars tried to analyze“luo(裸)+X”expressions from structural,semantic and pragmatic perspective.But the research on the cognitive mechanism of meaning shift of“luo(裸)”is far from perfection.Based on lexical concept frame,grammaticalization as well as metonymy,this thesis chooses to study the meaning of“luo(裸)”in“luo(裸)+X”words to find how the meaning of“luo(裸)”is generated and what role“X”plays in the semantic shift of“luo(裸)”.Based on the language date we collect from the network, medium, books and newspapers, we describe, analyze, and explain the meaning of “luo( 裸)” through systematic induction, qualitative and quantitative methods and try to generalize its mechanism. The significance of this thesis lies in that it provides a new research perspective to explain the meaning generation of newly-born language phenomena like “luo(裸)” in “luo(裸)+X” words.This thesis holds that the current meaning of “luo(裸)” has been evolved from their original meaning and has shifted several times. During the process of grammaticalization, the grammatical function of “luo(裸)” is enhanced and lexical meaning is weakening. “luo(裸)” in “luo(裸)+X” retains part of its original rational meaning “without”. But the specific meaning of “luo(裸)” in “luo(裸)+X” depends on the “X”. According to the lexical meaning and syntactic function of “X”, “luo(裸)+X” can be classified into “裸+Noun”, “裸+Verb” and “裸+Adjective”. The meaning of “luo(裸)” in“裸+Noun”words should be understood within the CONSCRETE TNING or ABSTRACT THINH frame with which“luo(裸)”is associated. The meaning of “luo(裸)” in“裸+Verb”words should be understood within the ACT EVENT frame activated by the verb. As for “裸+Adjective” words, the adjective is metonymically used to denote the person or the thing that is described, and “luo(裸)” acts as a modifier to describe the thing that “X” metonymically denotes. |
