Research On The Development Of Violin Art In Tianjin-The First Half Of The 20thcentury

The violin origins from Europe, it spreads countries around the world, exists as the most main musical instrument in string sections of the modern symphony. The timbre of the violin is exquisite, deeply moving, it has very difficult performance skills and a great quantity of excellent music works. The violin art was brought into the inner-palace of Qing Dynasty by the missionaries, after that it developed with many twists and turns in China. Until the starting of “School Music and Songs” in Republican Period of China, the establishment of massive new-style schools, many famous violin performing artists travelled to China for concerts…… Many factors contributed to the development of violin art in China. This thesis mainly studies the preliminary development of the violin art in the first half of twentieth Century in Tianjin,it including the concerts of foreign musicians in Tianjin; the development of the violin art in Tianjin of foreign expatriates and groups; the spread of the violin art by native music artists in Tianjin; the violin of the symphony orchestras music performances; under the influences of the new-style schools, the establishment of various professional music colleges and amateur schools who have the violin lessons in Tianjin area and so on. The first half of 20 th century, the preliminary development and transmission built a preliminary foundation for the professional development of the violin art in Tianjin. As soon as, it devoted great contributions to the preliminary development of the violin art in China. The author took photos and put precious documents and archival records in order with the method of literature research,arranged the development of violin art in Tianjin by individual interviews. Wish the author can never stop the steps of exploration and continue to devote the contribution about the development of the violin art in Tianjin.
