In this paper, the early Western Zhou Dynasty chimes as the research object, through field investigation of new archaeological discovery of the Western Zhou Dynasty chime were measured tone and shape of, involved area including Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Hubei and other areas of scientific discovery in the early Western Zhou Dynasty chimes.The from the chime bells unearthed the shape, decoration, and testing of sound data of discussion on the development of the early Western Zhou Dynasty chime, and the sound situation and bells in middle and late Western Zhou Dynasty and the development of a sequence. Which not only on the previous research, and through the field investigation to some of the views put forward new views, but for some of the views is still in doubt. The purpose of this paper is through the research of the early Western Zhou Dynasty chimes, to further clarify the Western Zhou Dynasty chimes from the origin to the course of the recession. In this paper, through the discussion of ritual and musical instruments in the combination, and combined with the author’s own archaeological experience has made some new interpretation and study of combination and the ritual of the state of matter.
