| Following the first Confucius institute in Africa in 2005 the establishment of the Confucius institute of Nairobi university, the Confucius institute in Africa have sprung up to establish and develop continuously. And these Confucius institutes become the important position of Chinese international promotion. In order to improve the quality of Chinese teaching of Africa Confucius Institutes, so study their Chinese teaching model is particularly necessary. the operating of the Confucius institute in Burundi university since 2012 has four years history, the author is engaged in one year of Chinese teaching in Burundi university, through the investigation and research, from the teaching objectives, curriculum setting, teaching materials, teaching methods, teaching evaluation, teaching project these six aspects are introduced in detail the Confucius institute in Burundi university, Chinese teaching mode, and summarizes the characteristics of the existing teaching mode and the insufficiency, such as heavy oral English teaching, the light of Chinese characters teaching; Curriculum lack of planning, etc. Secondly summarized the Africa Kenya university from the aspects of theory and practice of Chinese teaching model and Chinese teaching model research results of middle school in Thailand, and Kenya "task-based" teaching model in college class and Thailand "theme" teaching pattern in the middle school class into the Confucius institute at the university and middle school class teaching in Burundi, the good teaching effect.
