Today, more and more countries start to learn Chinese, including Burundi. In this study, the author has been engaged in the promotion of Chinese language one year of working for Chinese education in Africa at the Burundi University, finally to complete the study by questionnaires and summarizing. Through the investigation to understand the actual situation of Chinese International Education in the region, including the students learning Chinese, Chinese teachers’ teaching and Chinese teaching materials and the culture difference between China and Burundi. Through investigation and analysis of Chinese International Education in this area has many problems, such as students learning Chinese motives, the wrong way, bad attitude, teachers need to be improved, lack of experience in Mandarin, the psychology bearing capacity is not enough, there is no vitality, textbook popularity is not enough, the type is single, the big culture difference in the campus between China and Burundi and so on. Aiming at these problems and combining my Confucius Institute in Burundi university a year of work experience and puts forward some corresponding strategies, such as fully consider students interest, teachers teaching should be targeted and necessary to correct guidance, volunteer teachers should strengthen the professional training and proper psychological counseling, more younger teachers, more money for teaching materials, improve popular materials, a textbook based, with a lot of materials, seek common ground while reserving differences of serious discipline in the class, teachers flexible arrangement of Chinese class teaching progress and improve the teaching interest. To provide some help for the development of Burundi University and similar areas of Africa International Chinese language education.
