The third revolution of the technology bring the significant influence to the human society, not only for the way of production, but also for the way of people’s life. The population of the computer and IT industry and the increasing speed of the spreading of the information make the graphic design develop in a high speed. As the channel is changing, the new graphic design is challenging the traditional media. The graphic design is not limited in the press media which has the traditional design, color and Decorative design. It is more combined with the space, time, sensations(vision,hearing, taste, smelling) and actions(spectatorship, use behavior, display behavior,creation behavior), which has generated multidimensional graphic design thinking mode. This mode adds dimension for graphic design. In the modern art area, this mode is also influencing the development of the graphic design. This article makes the statements for the development of multidimensional graphic design and the necessity of this development.Firstly, this article gives the idea of how graphic design is developed in design thought, design information and design methods. Secondly, this article gives the idea how the sensations could impact the development of graphic design except for the vison which provides the most significant influence. Thirdly, this article discussed the importance of the development of the new media. As the new media developed, the graphic design is demonstrating the interactivity, burring and crossover. All the information above is showing the revolution of the graphic design from two-dimension to multi-dimension. Fourthly, this article will also discuss that the product designing is not only showing the product itself, but also showing the designing process and designing actions, from which the audience will have a better understanding of the designer’s thoughts and the audience could even involve in this process. Fifthly, this article also discusses when facing the new challenging and development, how the artist could make creation and the realization of self-value. In the same time, this article raises the discussion for the problems that the designers should consider for the development of the multidimensional graphic design.
