A Synchronic Research On The Lexicalization Of “Pian X”

In modern Chinese, the linear sequence of "pian X" can divide into word and phrase two types on synchronic level, which is in a stage of being experienced or have experienced synchronic lexicalization. This paper aims to study the lexical characters of this kind of linear sequence based on systematic analysis.This paper mainly includes six parts:The introduction part is mainly about the research background, the structure of this paper as well as the theoretical framework and research method.Chapter II introduces the research object in this paper.Based on the 《Modern Chinese Dictionary(Sixth Edition)》, the author studies the type and frequency of "X" in " pian X",which can also identify the research object and focus of this paper.Chapter III to V is a case study.The author analyzes the combination characters of "pian zhong", "pian xiang", "pian ai" in modern Chinese on synchronic level.This paper also studies their semantic and grammatical features.The relation between lexical performance and semantic or grammatical features is presented and the definition of different nature is also presented.Chapter VI is the the longitudinal comparison between chapter III and chapter V.The main idea and limitations about this paper is also provided.
