In recent years, with the rapid upgrading of China’s comprehensive national strength and expanding international influence, learning Chinese is becoming as a global boom, more and more Confucius Institutes are established in higher educational institutions over many countries, some Chinese language training organizations with commercial nature even could be found. More and more foreign students choose to study in China, number of people worldwide who are learning Chinese increases steadily. In order to fully understand the role of learning motivation played in the foreign students’ learning process, this article chooses the learning motivation of the foreign students who come from Poland, a country in Europe, as research object, to study the importance of learning motivation in acquisition process of Chinese which is as a second language, and issues on how to promote Chinese internationalization by applying Chinese learning motivation theory.This paper is divided into three parts:the first part which is the first chapter, is the introduction, introduces the study cause, research methods, research purpose, significance and literature review. This paper is an empirical research based on questionnaires and a micro-use of macroscopic theory. The domestic and foreign theories of motivation listed by author in the literature review, which are the theoretical basis of this paper, include the views proposed by many scholars in different periods and conclusion came from the empirical research.The second part, which is comprised of Chapter II and III, is the core of the whole paper. Chapters II is the survey, includes questionnaire design, survey, and results analyzing. The questionnaire design includes question structure and option design; questionnaire survey section describes the survey sites, objects and investigation methods; results analyzing part with result comes from the statistics of 30 effective problems on the questionnaire survey employs some data processing commonly used software. Incorporated in the common learning motivation of foreign students based on study about Polish students’learning motivation, Chapter III makes some recommendations to Chinese learning, Chinese teaching and textbook compilation & selecting. Recommendations to the foreign students themselves include overcome psychological barriers during the Chinese learning process; master the Chinese learning methods; make Chinese friends and integrate into Chinese social life. Recommendations for the Chinese teachers include organize interesting classes; grasp learners’psychology; actively participate in teaching and training courses. Recommendations for the textbook compilation and selecting include in line with the language cognitive laws; the teaching materials should adhere to be straightaway.Part III, the fourth chapter, is the conclusion of the paper and overview & summary of the whole paper. Also it proposes the existing problems due to various constraints and the prospects for the future.
