The Comparative Analysis Between Chen Duxiu’s National Revolution Thought And Peng Shuzhi’s National Revolution Thought

The furious national revolution movement is one of the greatest stories in the modern revolutionary history of China. Whether the movement’s development direction or final result had a deep influence o n the historical course of Chinese revolution. As the main participants and leaders, Chen Duxiu and Peng Shuzhi experienced and saw the ups and downs of the revolution. Being in great wave of revolution,whether Chen Duxiu or Peng Shuzhi, both of them were eager to save their country and people and put forward their own’s national revolution thought, trying to recognize the nature of revolution and finding the right way to the last victory.In fact, according to Chen Duxiu’s and Peng Shuzhi’s basic thoughts of national revolution, basic strategies of national revolution, formative factors of national revolution and influences of national revolution, and combining with party leaders’ analysis and judges to their thoughts of national revolution, relevant Comintern resolutions and historical facts, we can find differences and similarities between their views about the development and trend of revolution. So, this paper is based on these four aspects above. In practical terms, the comparison of basic thoughts of national revolution is focus on the nature and task of national revolution, the leading class of revolution; the comparison of basic strategies of national revolution includes four aspects: revolutionary united front, hegemony of proletariat, processes of revolution and the alliance of peasants, and discussing differences and similarities between their views about these four aspects; the comparison of the formative factors of the thoughts of national revolution includes three factors: the influences of Comintern,the influences of early system of CCP and the influences of personal revolutionary experience. These three factors have important influences on the formation of their thoughts of national revolution. The influences of their thoughts of national revolution mainly discusses the positive and negative influences of their thoughts, at the same time, this paper points out objectively that some wrong thoughts of their thoughts of national revolution come from current complex situation of Chinese revolution, false directions of Comintern and its representatives in China and immature of Chinese Communist Party.Above all,this paper tries to discriminate the most essential differences between Chen’s and Peng’s thoughts and their influences based on the analysis of thought framework, basic strategies of revolution, formative factors and influences, and illuminate the objective factors which resulted in the mistakes of their thoughts.Besides, both Chen Duxiu and Peng shuzhi are controversial figures in near modern revolution history of China, objectively analyzing and recognizing their national revolution thought can provide relevant evidences for thoroughly recognizing their contributions to revolution and their place in the history.
