Since 1976, six brunches of bronze ware have been found in the Yun County area, which cross the time between the Spring and Autumn Period bronze age to the middle of Warring States Period. During this period, the state of Chu continued the war to the west, and northwest Hubei had so many small countries and they were suffering from frequent wars. The Yun County area is aform part of the Lu State capital. After the elk people’s rebel, the state of Chu warred to the west, and exterminate Lu in 598 BC,and made the Chu Yun County fall in its range. As a dependency to Chu, Tang also visited the region with Chu during the expedition. What still remained questioned is that whether the bronze ware belongs to the Yun County area or not and why no other relics of bronze can be found in the same area in the same age of time. This paper took the bronze ware unearthed in the Yun County in the study, using cultural factor analysis to judge the characteristics of the Yunxian bronze wares’ shape, decoration, inscriptions, and compare the bronze ware with the same period of time with both the Chu culture and the Central Plains culture system, and combined with the existing analysis of scientific and technological achievementsto determine the origin and source of these bronzes, and to explore a tributary of the Chu culture under the influence of whether the ability of independent production produced bronze. In the Zhou Dynasty, bronze ware is the symbol of national political power.Investigating the source of bronze is not only the study of national political power, but also the study ofthat time’s process technology, social aesthetic, transportation and cultural etiquette.Conducting he analysis and discussion of bronze in theYun County area will benefit the study of whether the northwest Hubei Eastern country’s retaining its own unique culture, but also createan important way to examine the Tang Chu and Lu Chu relationship between the Spring and Autumn Period. The article is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces that the YunCounty is located in northwest Hubei Province, and it is thecapital of the Lu Statetin hole location in Eastern Zhou Dynasty.Byanalyzingthe Yun County’s bronze wares’ shape, decoration, inscriptions and other aspects, the origins of the bronze wares can be found and then lead a way to study the importance of independence of the Eastern Zhou Fang Northwest. Since the Yun County bronzes available in 1976, a lot of work had done by scholars. These bronzes came from countriesinvolved theTang, the Shen and the Chu, and origin of mineral aggregate Hubei Daye, but the foundry of the Yunxian bronze is never involved. The second chapter briefly introduced the Qiaojiayuan, the Xiaojiahe and other places where the unearthed six groups of bronzeshave found, and the periodof these bronze warecan be divided into three phases, the late spring and mid-section, the late Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States period. The third chapter is the analysis of the bronze wares’ combination, shape, decoration, and inscription, and the comparisons were made with other regions, and found that thestylebronze wares of the Yun County can be fell into two categories: the first category combination, decoration and Chu Bronzes similar lines, but the shape and ornamentation make a reserve on the degree of independence, and this kind of bronze unearthed in tombs, according to the inscription on the main determiner for the bronze Tang Guogui family; Another combination of bronze, shape, decoration, inscriptions and Chu bronzes exactly, it is the typical Department Chu bronze. They tested the bronze ware in Shanxi mahout,Hubei Daye, jiuliandun and other places byelement analysisthe method of lead isotope analysis and metallurgical analysis, and through those analysis, they believed that the bronze ware found in the Yun county were from Hubei Daye. The last chapter is the conclusion. It summarize the Yunxian bronze wares in aspects of combination, shape, decoration, and inscription. It is believed that the bronze wares do not belong to the Jun, but to the Tang and the Chu. These bronze wares are not casting in the Yun County. The Tang which is the dependency to Chu had its own foundry, andthe style of the ware is not only influenced by Chu but also remained its own independence. The material of the Yun County’s ware in Chu is from Hubei Daye, and they were cast by the Chu artisans.
