A Study On The Bronze Ware Unearthed In Yangjia,Gongcheng County,Guangxi Province

In 1971,there unearthed 33 bronze wares in Gongcheng County,Guangxi Province,including containers such as ding,zun,lei,etc.,musical instruments Yong bell and others,weapons such as bronze sword,bronze axe,bronze arrowheads etc.,as well as production tools such as bronze ax,bronze chisel and more.Those bronzes found in Gongcheng County,Guangxi Province generally belong to the age of late Spring and Autumn period to the early Warring States period.In Guangxi northeast region this batched bronzes was found at the first time.At the junction between the northeast of Guangxi where Gongcheng County is and Hunan is also a vital channel for Guangxi Province to communicate with other regions.Through analysis and comparison with these small number of bronzes to the bronzes in the surrounding regions,we can see that these bronzes were indeed affected by the bronze culture in many areas which except for the bronze culture of Yue in Lingnan region,also includes the bronze culture from Chu,Xiangjiang River,Yangze river and Huai river,southern Anhui,as well as Wu Yue region which also belongs to Yue.It turn outs that these bronzes were affected by the bronze culture from many regions,which indicates that the bronze culture was exchanged among the various regions,so that the bronzes spread to different regions.The spread of bronzes in different regions and the exchange of bronze culture may be related to the activities of the local inhabitants.The location of Gongcheng County in Guangxi Province is in an exchange channel,and the unearthed bronzes can reflect the activities of the ancient people in the region to a certain extent.
