Major task for junior high school adolescent students is study, from which the major stress and vexation come. Moderating stress contributes to the improvement of students’ learning efficiency and arousing students’ learning motivation, while excessive academic stress leads to series of negative emotions and psychological problems.Researches on academic stress, susceptibility of academic stress, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation can further uncover their relationship, prevent and relieve the harm that excessive academic stress would bring, and stimulate junior high school students’ mental development in a healthy way.Based on the review of domestic and foreign literature about academic stress,susceptibility of academic stress, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation, this study investigated the junior high school students’ status quo and characteristics of academic stress, susceptibility of academic stress, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation by statistic methods such as questionnaire survey, analysis of variance and structural equation model, discussed the moderating role of anxiety and depression in the relationship of academic stress and suicide ideation. This study analyzed the characteristics and reasons of junior high school students’ academic stress, susceptibility of academic stress, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation from the factors of grades,origins of students, and so forth. Then, this study analyzed the moderating role of anxiety and depression in the relationship of academic stress and suicide ideation.Conclusions of this study:(1) Eighth and ninth grade students showed significant difference with seventh grade students on academic stress, susceptibility of academic stress, anxiety,depression and suicidal ideation; eighth and ninth grade students from non-key schools in countryside and town showed significant difference with seventh grade students in academic stress and suicide ideation.(2) Susceptibility of academic stress is(significantly) positively correlated with junior’s academic stress, and it can predict academic stress to some degree(3)The relationship between academic study and suicide ideation is partially mediated by anxiety.(4)The relationship between academic study and suicide ideation is totally mediated by anxiety.(5)Anxiety and depression played double mediating roles in the relationship of academic stress and suicide ideation.
