| Suicide is one of the main causes of death,and it is also a complex human behavior.According to a report by the WHO in 2012,nearly one million people die each year from suicide,and the number of people who commit suicide is far greater than the number of people killed.Compared with 45 years ago,the suicide rate rose by 60%.There has been a long history of research on suicide in foreign countries,from the evaluation of suicidal ideation,to the study of risk factors of suicide,and to the physiological mechanism of suicide.However,the research on suicide in our country has just started,and most of the studies have focused on the factors of suicidal ideation,such as students and community population.There are few reports about the research on suicide ideation in military personnel.As a special occupational group,most of the members of the military are young men,which belong to the highest suicide rate group.They have long been complex and dangerous military environment,high intensity military training,the relatively closed environment and many other factors,often face more life events and psychological pressure than general population.Therefore,their mental health is more worthy of attention.It is of great significance to study the status quo of suicide ideation and study its influencing factors,so as to carry out early intervention to prevent the occurrence of suicidal behavior.To understand the incidence of suicide ideation in military personnel.Based on the theoretical framework of stress-diathesis model,this paper explores the effects of negative stress events,susceptible personality traits and depression on suicidal ideation in military personnel,which provide theoretical support for suicide prevention and intervention measures.A stratified cluster random sampling method was used to extract 1553 servicemen.The method of field test was used to send out 1553 questionnaires,and the valid questionnaires were recovered by 1345.Evaluation by general questionnaire,Patient Health Questionnaire Depression Scale(PHQ-9),Military Negative Stress Event Scale,Eysenck Personality Questionnaire-Revised,Short Scale for Chinese(EPQ-RSC),Barratt Impulsiveness Scale(BIS-11),Chinese Version of Buss & Perry Aggression Questionnaire(AQ-CV).SPSS19.0 was used to process data,and the statistical methods include descriptive statistics,chi square test,correlation analysis,single factor and multi factor regression analysis,structural equation model analysis and so on.Through the analysis,the following results are obtained:1.The reported rate of military suicidal ideation was 5.3%.There was no significant difference in age,culture degree,marriage status,position between the two groups,which divided by whether or not suicidal ideation.2.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that acute military stress,acute marriage and family,acute group interpersonal,chronic military stress,chronic physical problems and depression were the risk factors of suicidal ideation.3.In the EPQ,the psychoticism score was 40.21±5.86,the score of introversion and extroversion was about 59.23±7.00,and the score of neuroticism was 36.41±6.27.In the AQ-CV,the physical aggression score was 28.87±4.33,the verbal aggression score was 28.26±6.19,the anger score was 25.13±5.83,the hostility score was 20.70±4.37,the self-aggression score was 23.69±3.07.In theBIS-11,the unplanned impulsive score was 51.59±12.36,the cognitive impulsive score was 50.56±12.54,and the action impulsive score was 50.69±11.05.The score of PHQ-9 was 4.60±4.29.4.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that physical aggression,hostility,self-aggression,psychoticism,extraversion,neuroticism and depression were the risk factors of suicidal ideation.5.There were significant correlations between the variables of acute and chronic negative stress events,all aggressive dimensions,psychoticism,extraversion,neuroticism,depression and suicidal ideation(p<0.01).Suicidal ideation was positively correlated with acute stress and chronic stress in Military Negative Stress Events Scale(r=0.21,r=0.22,p<0.01);and was positively correlated with physical aggression,verbal aggression,self-aggression,anger and hostility(r=0.22,r=0.18,r=0.28,r=0.32,r=0.37;p<0.01)in AQ-CV,and was positively correlated with psychoticism and neuroticism(r=0.20,r=0.29;p<0.01),and was negatively correlated with introversion(r=-0.17;p<0.01)in EPQ,and was positively correlated with depression(r=0.54,p<0.01).6.Acute stress and chronic stress was defined as 2 indicators of negative stress events,which was defined as latent variable.Psychoticism,neuroticism,extraversion and aggression as 4 indicators of susceptible personality traits,which was defined as latent variable.Based on the above definition,the structural equation model was constructed to study the relationship among negative stress events,susceptible personality traits,depression and suicidal ideation.The final fitting model shows that the fitting index of the model is in good agreement with the data: ?2/df =5.456,GFI = 0.984,AGFI =0.966,RMSEA = 0.056,NFI = 0.970,CFI =0.975.Negative stress events and depression have direct effects on suicidal ideation.Personality traits and negative stress events have indirect effect on suicidal ideation through depression.Depression has a mediating effect on suicide ideation in the model,and the Bootstrap test is significant.In the total effect,the effect value of personality trait(0.360)was higher than that of negative stress event(0.142).The conclusions are as follows:1.The reported rate of military suicidal ideation was 5.3%,which was lower than that of college students and foreign groups in recent years.2.There are three main risk factors of suicidal ideation in military personnel,the first one is five stress factors in negative stress events,the second one is five susceptible traits of personality structure;the last one is depression.Extraversion is a protective factor of suicidal ideation in military personnel.3.Depression has a direct effect on suicidal ideation,but also has two intermediary role,not only plays a mediating role between negative events and suicidal ideation,also plays a mediating role between susceptible personality traits and suicidal ideation.In addition,negative stress events have direct effects on suicidal ideation,and susceptible personality traits have indirect effect on suicidal ideation.4.The influence of susceptible personality traits on suicidal ideation was higher than that of negative stress events. |
