Once regarded as the greatest famous works of the "Root Literature", in addition to being read out a variety of root meaning in its literary interpretation, "Chess King" have been often compared with Zweig’s "Chess story". There is no doubt that it is affected by the factor “chess” of the titles of two works. But in the actual text analysis, it more emphasized the cultural level, or focused on characters or the significance of cultural roots, or emphasized interpretation and analysis characters’ psychology and human’s anti-war ideology, or both. It has been less careful analyzed the impact on the role of "chess" which called medium or carrier. At the same time, as a kind of medium or carrier which affects the text, the culture and symbolic significance two kinds of chess carries, are derived from different cultures reflect their distinctive features, which have a profound impact on literary works it involves or participates. And this influence in their respective texts has a distinct manifestation reflected their characteristic performance of cultural heterogeneity. And analyzing in detail on the effects of Chinese chess and chess of these two works, it can be seen not only ideology of Chinese chess, effect on type system and settings of the "Chess King", also can be seen textual effect of chess on "Chess Story". And comparing the effect of Chinese chess culture and chess culture on these two works from this perspective, it can be seen not only the relationship between chess culture and literature and art, but also can be seen the profound heterogeneity appeared in the deep Chinese and Western cultures. First, the same as an open ornamental double chess board games, there is a delicate relationship in Chinese chess and chess include the historic chess, which has a certain degree of conjunction with the relationship between authors and readers in the literary creation,and it also has an important influence on the use of the in these two articles. As a kind of artistic activity, if literature has "literary theory" as its theoretical support, then the "chess theory" also has a theoretical guidance for chess activities, so when the two activities have a "cross", there will be an intersection theory, such as "literary potential" in Chinese Literary Theory and "chess potential" in the theory of chess. According to this feature, it seems that there are similar features in pursuing form and structure, which also has an interdisciplinary meaning. Secondly, in dealing with the relationship between the characters and the development trend of the plots, it can be seen that there are features that cross and influence each other between above mentioned aspects and "Chess". The influential features reflected by content, structure and perspective can be raised to author’s pursuit that hidden in the works, thus as a metaphor of author’s unspoken aspirations with the aid of chess rules in the special context. So from this perspective to perceive these two texts, we can also interpret the authors’ helpless plaint on fates.
