Research In Modern China On Eastern Studies Introduced To The West Of Wang Tao

The late Qing Dynasty was an era of Chinese society and academic upheaval.With the beginning of the Opium war,Chinese ancient door was opened, the status of "Celestial Empire" was rapidly losing its position, the impact of Chinese traditional academic was strongly attacked by the western culture, academic exchanges became a trend in the late Qing Dynasty. But in the process, serious ethnic and cultural crisis, let Chinese advanced intellectuals in seeking salvaging road at the same time, also thinking about how to promote Chinese culture to the West, in order to find a place for Chinese traditional culture in the world. Wang Tao was a person who was active in introducing Chinese culture to the West. From the ideology of Wang Tao East to West thought and practice, not only can be seen the exchange of Chinese and Western culture at the time, but also can be seen that the intellectuals in the face of social, academic changes in the struggle and efforts.This paper takes Wang Tao East to West as the research object, in order to examine in the late Qing Dynasty orientalization of Chinese intellectuals and their treatment of Chinese and Western culture and to seek for the development of Chinese culture in the world. This paper is divided into four parts:Part one, an overview of the social changes in the late Qing Dynasty, analysed the age of Wang Tao east to West and the academic background; The second part, sort of the ideology of Wang Tao East to West formation process in pectination, inquire into the change of Wang Tao’s attitude towards Chinese and Western culture, reflects the change in attitude; The third part, to explore the thoughts and behavior of Wang Tao in the west of the east to west, summed up its has had with the new "Hua Yi concept" as the premise, guided by the new idea of "Dao Qi concept", the idea of "harmony of the earth" is aimed at the ideology of "Da Tong", and the establishment and use of foreign language newspapers as a means of foreign communication this four aspects of the characteristics; The fourth part, from the primary booster of Chinese classic, the direct demonstration of Chinese academic and cultural, and the pioneer of Chinese modern East to West ideology this three aspects, analysed the influence and status that the ideology of Wang Tao East to West.
