| Leonardo da Vinci’s "Self-Portrait" was created in 1513, known as one of Leonardo da Vinci’s late works. In his late period, the strokes of his works was bold and free and easy, and his skill of painting has matured, which can be reflected in the "Self-Portrait". It is now collected in Turin Museum of Art in Italy. With composition of Stable triangular pyramid, mysterious and infinite space, shade by progressivesecurity, precise and scientific anatomy method, and strokes Bold and free and easy, Da Vinci combined form with spirit, conveyed spirit through form to create a three-dimensional illusion in "Self-Portrait".This paper analyzes the inevitability of "Self-Portrait" by gathering a wide range of information, using image process to analyze the historical background of Leonardo da Vinci’s "Self-Portrait", diachronically analyzing the diachronic statethe style evolution in different periods, analyze his works of early period and middle period, and the incubation of "Self-Portrait".By analyzing the composition, space, light and shade, and dissection of Leonardo da Vinci’s "Self-Portrait", this paper draws a conclusion that Leonardo da Vinci combined form with spirit, conveyed spirit through form to create a vivid image of the wise. By studying the scientific paradigm of Renaissance plastic arts, and the victory of rational spirit of Leonardo da Vinci in the art, analyzed Leonardo Da Vinci "Self-Portrait" in psychoanalytic view, we found a three-dimensional illusion in his works.We came to the conclusion that Leonardo da Vinci’s "Self-Portrait" is one of his classic sketches works, Leonardo used his scientific rational spirit and skill of painting,conveyed spirit through form to create a vivid image of the wise. |
