Documentary film from the birth of the development has been more than one hundred years, the story has been an important development trend. With widely used in digital technology, mobile media is dominant in the pattern of dissemination, audio-visual effects and audience perception experience has also become one of the standard measure of the quality of the documentary. These guide documentaries to "entertainment", so that the concept of the boundaries of the documentary blurred, and some are not even like the previous documentary. What brought about this change? What is the beginning and meaning of entertainment? How do we define documentary entertainment? The use of communication, study of popular culture, documentary theory related theory, through the combing of documentary development history and theoretical research, combined with the Chinese and foreign documentary text a lot to observe, trying to answer the entertainment documentary how hidden from the increasingly prominent problem.This thesis is divided into five parts:first chapter is the introduction, briefly introduced the topic research background, research methods, purpose and significance of the research, overview of current documentary era environment, summed up the domestic creative documentaries on the theoretical study of the changes and the status quo. The second chapter combs the development of foreign documentary concept, defines the concept of documentary and the origin of the "story" expression, and provides a theoretical reference for the study of Chinese documentary. The third chapter in the history of Chinese documentary as the object of observation, expression from three aspects:"the story of" the evolution of, one is documentary ontology concepts, experienced the change from the propaganda work to the products; second is the documentary film creation idea, from "storytelling" gradually turned into "how to tell a good story"; third is a combination of the "tip of the tongue", discussion of the "story" of the meaning. The fourth chapter discusses the creation and dissemination of the documentary, discusses the influence of the current cultural environment and the media communication pattern, and analyzes the adaptation and achievement of the Chinese documentary film to the entertainment. The fifth chapter is the reflection of the documentary entertainment to the thinking, the entertainment value, discusses over entertainment is the excessive commercial pursuit of harm, thinking to guard against the "entertainment" injury strategy...
