The set-up and development of the socialism market- oriented economy in China have advanced a new mission to her culture building in the new period. Cultural concepts and systems formed in the former traditional planned economy must be reexamined, and have to seek for a new life and development in the reforms. This thesis totally consists of five parts: Part One is about the theory of the socialism culture building with Chinese characteristics. The second part is the socialism mark-oriented economy's four objective requirements of the culture building. Namely they are combination, service, independence and openness. Specifically speaking, the culture building must integrate with the socialism market-oriented economy development. This union is an inexorable trend in spite of it is active or passive. Also the culture building should give service to satisfy the demands of economic development. Independence implies that culture building should not become an appendage of the socialism market-oriented economy. The last is that the culture building cannot be done in the former closed circle. Part Three is on culture market--the combination of cultural products with market-oriented economy. First of all, culture market is the important part of the socialism market- oriented economy. Secondly, it specially lays equal stress on both social effect and economic returns. Thirdly, ruled-by-law environment is needed to guarantee the culture market to develop healthily. Finally, learning and creation are the outstanding characteristics of China's culture market. Part Four is about the enterprise culture the combination of culture building with the main parts of the market competition. There are different periods of the Chinese market competition. It discusses and defines the enterprise culture that can strengthen the company's competition. It also investigates the necessary situations and developments of the Chinese enterprise culture building from the considerations of the Chinese enterprises reality. The last part mainly states the relative independence the culture building must keep in the market-oriented economy. It is necessary to be so. And relative independent culture building is needed to correct the humane blind spot in the market-oriented economy. Thirdly, its system reforms must be united with culture building. Nevertheless, the openness is the indispensable environmental conditions for culture building's independence and creation.
