Sushi is a typical representative of the Chinese literator. He was proficient in literary and artistic creation including Poetry, article, calligraphy and painting etc. His views about the theories of literature and art were also unique among all the Chinese literati, and exerted a great influence to both of the Song dynasty and later generations. Yuanyou years, Sushi’s political status reached to the peak of his life encountered several twists and turns. He was seen as "the first person of Northern Song dynasty" at this time in the field of literary and calligraphy. In addition, Sushi was often had a meeting with the closed literary friends and communicated literature and art each other extensively in the capital. What the above mentioned have a special significance to Sushi, and brought an enormous effects to literary and artistic creation of Sushi during this period.In the research paper, the social environment Sushi lived and his literator status were considered firstly, and the representative of letters, poetries, literator assembly were studied in order to explore the application of calligraphy in their life as an essential communication tools for literati. The politics and literary status of Sushi during Yuanyou yeas were expound which affected greatly its calligraphy. Sushi’s calligraphy thoughts of "Shang yi" and calligraphers group around him in this period were also introduced. The study on the calligraphers group centering on Sushi was focus on Sushi’s calligraphy concept, creation style and the effects on members of "Su" group. Furthermore, Huang Tingjian, one of members of "Su" group, was chose as a classic example to be analyzed, because his status of politics, literary, calligraphy during Northern Song dynasty were very close to that of Sushi. Their sameness and difference on calligraphy in three stages of before of Yuanyou years, Yuanyou years and later of Yuanyou years were compared by reference of their communication and travels. The gradual impacts of Sushi’s calligraphy on Huang Tingjian were also explored. Sushi’s calligraphy creations in the period of Yuanyou years and the influence of calligraphy concepts of Su and Huang on the culture of Northern Song calligraphic community were summarized. At last, the spreading situation of Sushi’s literature and calligraphy works in Northern Song dynasty was investigated by taking the event of "Yuanyou party members" as the center.
