| The parent-child relationship rely on kinship to connect family members, is the most basic part of human social relations. Parent-child relationship has the natural attributes of intimacy and selfless love, and it has a great effect on the growth of individual, family harmony and social stability. This paper first expounds the meaning, characteristics and functions of the parent-child relationship in general sense, and expand a comparative analysis of the two dimensions of horizontal and vertical relations between parents and children. Pointed out that due to the political, economic, social, cultural and other aspects of influence, Chinese and western parent-child relationship has obvious differences in forms of expression. Western parent-child relationship compared to the Chinese emphasis on equality in parent-child relationship structure, the core of Chinese traditional parent-child relationship in the society as a loving father and faithful son,and with the development of the era, parent-child relationship in contemporary China has a trend to the modern transformation.This paper is in the context of the transition period of China, focusing on the impact of economic and social development on the parent-child relationship in contemporary China. At present, the "421" family structure, material guarantee of contemporary China parent-child relationship more fully, filial piety culture of traditional and the modern family harmonious culture fusion have a positive effect on the parent-child relationship in contemporary China. At the same time, due to the improper family education, the concept of filial piety weakening and the lack of incentive mechanism and the multicultural impact and other reasons, some problems, such as, the elder parents spoiling the children, intergenerational alienation tendency, utilitarian tendency and so on, have emerged on contemporary Chinese parent-child relationship. In view of the many problems of negative parent-child relationship, this paper discusses the basic principles and basic requirements of the harmonious parent-child relationship. In order to solve this problem, we should give full play to the family, school, society, national subjective initiative on the parent-child relationship, to create a harmonious family atmosphere, strengthen the school filial piety education guidance, strengthen social care, establish and improve relevant laws and regulations and other measures to build a harmonious parent-child relationship. |
