Children’s painting characteristics have enlightenment and influence for the decorative design,which bring a fresh visual expression form and design language for the decorative design. We view the world with the children’s eyes, everything in the world is full of life and all need us to respect and care for, making the design to be more warm,children’s painting art has walked into the design of the modern decoration, the interesting design and design life let the design adding a pure color. This paper statesthe application of the children’s painting in the decorative design through five chapters, in which the third chapter application of the children’s painting as decorative design elements, the fourth chapter, children’s simplicity in the children’s painting inspired the decoration design thinking, the fifth chapter, from the children’s painting modelling and colour used in the decoration design, we understand the influence and enlightenment of the children’s simplicity and interest in the children’s painting for decorative design. It is a kind of new experience for the application of children’s painting elements in the decorative design, broadening the design language, riching design form, feeling the information and fun conveyed by the design.
