Study On Zhi Jiang Xin Yu Text

"Zhi Jiang Xin Yu" is a Xi Jinping’s personal essays collected the 232 essays of Xi Jinping in the "Zhejiang Daily" published on the column, which is one of news comment. These short news comments aim to instruct and evaluate some problems including aspects of work-style cadre and people’s daily life. The content of these essays are very short, but the meaning is very profound. There are many big differences from long language article in textual structure, textual progression and textual cohesion. In the past, scholars have been focused on the research of long textual research, with neglecting the short textual research. Therefore, we attempt to make a research of short textual research in textual structure, textual progression and textual cohesion based on "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu" to enrich the content of news text.There are five chapters in total. The first chapter is introduction which briefly introduces the origin, purpose, significance, research ideas and methods of this paper.The second chapter is about related literature review. One is introduction of the text research at home and abroad. The other one is about the research of Xi Jinping’ style of language.In the third chapter, we reveal "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu" comments in the macro language features by using language text type theory and textual pattern theory, with discovering that the text type has a restrictive effect on textual pattern. "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu" is belongings to mixed pattern of argumentative and instructive types. Whose purpose of text is mainly to persuade people and guide the work. Therefore, the frequency of the use of "problem-solution" pattern and "goal-achievement" pattern is the highest. In addition,On the basis of the description of the textual patterns,we calculate and analyze number of lexical marker in "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu", which is often used text.Then,we will make a functional interpretation of it.The fourth chapter mainly analyze the "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu" essay based on pattern of progression. First of all, we make introduction of the pattern of progression theory, and make some adjustment of the analysis method according to the Chinese text. After analysis, we found the thematic form is special in S-P subject sentence and S-P predicate sentence. The thematic element in S-P subject sentence is the subject structure of the sentence, and thematic element in S-P predicate sentence is the first topic. After that,We will describe and summarize themes and thematic progressions in Zhi Jiang Xin Yu". Thematic composition in "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu" is mainly characterized by the following features:simple themes have the larger number than multiple themes; the unmarked themes have larger number than marked themes; simple theme composition is the main composition.The fifth chapter mainly uses cohesion theory in Halliday textual function theory to analyze the short comment of "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu ".We firstly review the cohesion theory, and then use the frame of cohesion theory raising by Halliday to describe and analyze the cohesive means of the text in "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu", mainly illustrating from five aspects:reference, replacement, ellipsis, connection and isomorphic cohesion. Among them, "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu" has a higher using frequency in reference, connection and isomorphic cohesion. The reference divides into exophora and endophora which have great differences in textual function. The exophora in text is mainly used to open the text and introduce a new topic, and the endophora is used to cohere the context.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this article. It is the summary and sublimation of the thesis. The short text "Zhi Jiang Xin Yu" has a deal of difference from long texts in textual structure, textual progression and textual cohesion. The differences reflected are as followings. The text pattern of short text is single, and the text structure is relatively simple. The simple theme in the theme has a higher frequency of appearance. The progression across the sentence reflects more in the short text. There is a high frequency of textual cohesive, making the whole text to present the characteristics of compact structure, closely linked.
