"FuLuShouXi" Culture Idioms Research

Language, a carrier of the culture, is a symbol system to record the culture. The idioms of the "FuLuShouXi" culture is an important part of the Chinese traditional auspicious culture. They condense the folk wisdom and living experience of the Chinese, and they are entrusted with the good wishes of generations of descendants of the Yan Emperor and Yellow Emperor to avoid trouble, seek good luck, pray and avert disasters. Though there are a great number of scholars in our country, who have been on the research of the "FuLuShouXi" culture for years, they study that only from the view of the custom, the art of the calligraphy and social habits. Then, there are few theses to introduce the "FuLuShouXi" culture on the basis of idioms. Therefore, it is really necessary to research idioms of the "FuLuShouXi" culture.Based on that state, this thesis uses the method of the cultural linguistics to study idioms of the "Fulushouxi" culture. It classifies and sums up numerous idioms of the "FuLuShouXi" culture by the means of analyzing the semantic of Fu, Lu, Shou and Xi. And it based on the distribution,focusing on idioms, other classes (proverbs, two-part allegorical saying, idioms) is complementary to "FuLuShouXi" culture has carried on the summary of type, and then use the "FLShouXi" culture to conduct a comprehensive interpretation of culture, reveal the "FuLuShouXi" use culture because of the traditional Chinese culture connotation, in order to better understand the way of Chinese thinking, values, social conventions and psychological state characteristics. Also, this thesis tries its best to reveal the connotation of the Chinese traditional culture, which is included in those idioms, in order to give a total and clear cultural explanation of idioms of the "FuLuShouXi" culture. Finally, this thesis makes a simple analysis of rhetorical characteristics to "FuLuShouXi" cultural idioms of from the perspective of grammatical function, which makes people have a clear impression on the situation and cultural atmosphere where idioms of the "FuLuShouXi" culture can be used properly.
