The purpose of this study is to explore the way of parenting differences between different social strata, and the influence of the difference on children’s mental adaptation. In parenting way as an intermediary, to understand the gap of social and economic status of different school children in psychological adaptation index(loneliness, depression, self-esteem and happiness) differences, as well as the authority of the parents upbringing and authoritarian parenting is intermediary effect. This article selects three representative schools in this city, respectively, "the private school", " rural migrant children school " and " General public schools ". A sample of 354 grade three students were asked to complete the questionnaire(HSPPC),(ILQ),(CDI), and their parents were asked to complete the parenting scale(PSDQ).This study has the following several conclusions:(1) The children of private school get the highest score on self-esteem and well-being and lowest score on lonely and depression. The children of public school get the lowest score on self-esteem and happiness, they have the strongest sense of loneliness and depression.(2) Mother’s authoritative parenting showed significant differences in three school. The higher level education of mother’s, the more authoritative parenting will be happen. Private school get highest score on father’s authoritative parenting.(3) Authoritative patenting style was positively correlated to SES. Authoritatian patenting of mother was negatively correlated to SES.(4) Mother’s authoritarian parenting were positively correlated with children’s loneliness, depression, and negatively correlated with children’s self-esteem and happiness.(5) Mother authoritarian parenting style has wholly mediator effection between SES and children’s psychological adaptive prediction.(6) Mother authoritative parenting style has wholly mediator effection between SES and children’s depression prediction.
