The origin of Huizhou has a long history. Modern Huizhou villages had experienced four stages, those were the formation, development, peak period and the decline. Huizhou villages drove to its heyday in Ming and Qing dynasties. But by the later Qing dynasty, due to the decline of Huizhou merchants, period of war of the Taping rebellion heaven, and all kinds of natural disasters, natural and man-made, the Huizhou village had became declined,depression. In addition,the modern Huizhou building affected by the foreign, its traditional local-style dwelling houses started to join the western elements. In the late Qing Dynasty, the migration of the immigrants to the Hui did not have the task of rebuilding the Huizhou village after the war, which led to the ecological deterioration in the Huizhou area. This paper mainly discussed the decline of the modern Huizhou villages, and from the following several aspects.First, this paper mainly discusses the construction of the ancient villages in Huizhou in the Ming and Qing dynasties reached the peak. The paper mainly introduces the prosperity of Huizhou ancient villages, and the prosperous reason during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Living in a compact community is a typical characteristic of Huizhou ancient villages, the clan concept directly affect the construction of the Huizhou village concept, makes in the Huizhou resident namesake ethnic majority. Especially in the Ming and Qing dynasties, Anhui merchants rise. Anhui merchants as a rich businessman in the late feudal society of our country capital group, create brilliant achievements, for the construction and development of Huizhou village by provides abundant capital.The second, the manifestation of the decline of Huizhou villages in modem times. Huizhou village’s population, due to wars, especially the Taiping rebellion and natural disasters made the population decline. In building houses, temples and clan ancestral hall, the war of the late Qing dynasty also caused a catastrophic blow to it, the Huizhou village economy also caused a serious impact, the former Huizhou prosperous village landscape decline.Again, the paper explores the reason of the decline of the modern Huizhou villages. The first is the influence of the war of the late Qing dynasty, Taiping rebels, the army of Qing, the local soldiers intertwined together, increase the burden of Huizhou people, and adds to the Huizhou society disaster, make Huizhou village inevitable decline. The decline of Huizhou merchants in the late Qing dynasty, make the construction and development of Huizhou villages lose funding sources, makes the rehabilitation and reconstruction of villages in post-war difficulties, combined with the modern Huizhou serious floods, further exacerbating the decline of Huizhou villages.Finally, Two points on the decline of Huizhou village in modern times.In modern Huizhou, some houses in the village began to be influenced by western culture, and the elements of many western architecture were injected.Influenced by western architectural culture, the residential areas have been active in the architectural landscape of Huizhou village, which has enriched the culture of Huizhou village. In the late Qing Dynasty, the migration of the immigrants to the Hui movement did not play a role in the reconstruction of the village of Huizhou after the war, instead, it intensified the destruction of the ecological environment in the Huizhou area.
