Based on the translation practice of five articles from You the Freedom, this paper analyzed how to choose accurate English words, how to construct English sentences, as well as how to deal with direct quotations during the translation from Chinese to English. Empirical analyzing method was used to summarize what obstacles were met during the translation and what solutions were proposed to overcome those problems. Many specific translation examples were presented in this paper to demonstrate the differences between Chinese and English languages as well as the translation skills exerted during the translation based on the language differences.
