Liberals have predicted that in the process of social modernization, religion will gradually decline, will eventually withdraw from the public sphere, but the reality is that more and more religious issues involved in the public sphere.The main intention of Habermas’ theory of the public sphere is to reconstruct the normative ideal of the democracy.Habermas regards religion as opposite to reason,then he realize religion has been an important factor of influence on the political public sphere. Moreover,in the contemporary multi-dimensional society,the religious discourse is still an important part in multi-dimensional factors. This paper focuses on Habermas’s public sphere and discuss the ethical significance of religion, whether or not the religious turn to enter the public domain set a higher threshold specification. And in secularism and the Secular Era concept, we will further study and revealed In secularism and the Secular Era concept, we will further study and revealed that what kind of roles the religion should play in the public sphere, and whether Habermas’s idea of the later secular society can provide a feasible theoretical guidance for the public sphere of religion.
