Leader, Factions And Political Culture

Factionalism was a special political culture when the Nationalist Party ruled of the mainland. Multiple factions would have multiple faction leaders, and every power faction leader made political resources personal and factional. That brought two adverse impacts:on the one hand, it easily appeared crisis of political value orientation of faction leader’s follower; on the other hand, it resulted that all political activities of the Nationalist Party can’t get rid of factional politics bother, weaken the Nationalist Party’s governability, accelerated he Nationalist Party’s destruction.This paper is to study different relationships between the Mid-level Officer Chen Kewen of the National Government with his successively followed political leaders Wang Jingwei、Jiang Jieshi and Li Zongren. First, Chen Kewen and Wang Jingwei had ten years profound relationship of faction leader and faction leader’s follower and personal friendship.
