’Zui’ and ’Geng’ are commonly used adverb of degree in modern Chinese, and also are highly error-prone in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. This paper chooses corpus from the ’Corpus of HSK Dynamic composition’ to analyze there two typical adverb which are ’Zui’ and ’Geng’; the analysis of ’Zui’ and ’Geng’ shows that the students from Japan and Korea have many similar errors on using these two adverbs. This paper aims to find out the regular pattern of misuse of ’Zui’ and ’Geng’ by Japanese and Korean students via comparison and analysis research. Hopefully it would be helpful for Japanese and Korean overseas students who are studying Chinese adverb of degree.The first part of this paper is introduction, which introduces the background of research, targets, methods, reasons of topics selection and theoretical support; and the first chapter explains usage of ’Zui’ and ’Geng’ briefly, which compares the commons and differences of usage of these two adverbs. The second chapter describes the common types of errors in using ’Zui’ and ’Geng’ by Japanese and Korean overseas students according to the ’Corpus of HSK Dynamic composition’; this paper classfiys these common errors into 4 groups, namely, misuse, miss adding, disordering, omitting; according to the analysis of data, Japanese and Korean overseas students’ error rate of misuse and omitting are much higher than miss adding and disordering. The third chapter according to the features of Agglutinative language of Japan and Korea, and focus on the subjective reasons of mother tongue, target language, objective reasons of teachers and teaching materials to discuss the reasons on the errors in using ’Zui’ and ’Geng’ committed by Japanese and Korean overseas students. Chapter four proposes some teaching suggestions for common errors that occurred in progress of teaching adverbs of degree from teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, hopefully it would help to the degree adverbs teaching. The fifth chapter is conclusion.
