In the 1950s and 1960s, many things were waiting to be done in China. Art was attached particular importance to. Therefore, a batch of art giants came onto the stage, one of which was Fu Baoshi. In Fu Baoshi’s whole life, there were four quite important sketch activities and it was exactly during these four sketch activities that his drawing style came into being. This style, together with the continuity and peculiarity of corresponding techniques, was with characteristics of the times. It is this new drawing style that gave rise to the "New Jin Ling painting school" headed by Fu Baoshi. The philosophical foundation and aesthetic significance behind his drawings originated from Taoist school. Fu Baoshi used his whole life to demonstrate that: paying attention to the meanings and then techniques would be exerted naturally. Pen and ink of Chinese paintings are able to successfully depict changing new life and new things, which possess unlimited expression vitality in reflecting real life and make excellent contributions to Chinese paintings’ transformation and development from classic form to modern form. "Zong Ji Da Hua" and "Qi Ming Wei Xin" are missions entrusted by the era to Fu Baoshi.
